Medical Exams

Is your dog or cat not eating as well as he used to? Is he itchy? Does he have a cough?

Doctor Exams: You must book an appointment to see the Doctor whether it is for a wellness exam or a pet not feeling well.

Our veterinarian will discuss your observations of what is going on with your pet. They will perform a physical exam to assess any concerns or questions you may have. Then they will discuss whether diagnostic testing or medications are necessary.

  • Our office exam fee is $45. We require a deposit of $45 at the time of scheduling but don't worry, the deposit is put towards the exam fee.
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, just call or email ahead of time and you won't lose your deposit! ***If you need to cancel this appointment, please call or email within 48 hours of the appointment to do so. It's very important to let us know if you need to cancel. If we do not receive a 48hr notice you will lose your deposit.
  • Please keep in mind that this office exam fee does not include additional diagnostics, treatments, and/or medications that may be necessary.
  • Any testing, treatments, and medications will be discussed with you at the time of your appointment before we proceed.

Brief Exams: If you are coming for flea/tick medication and/or heartworm testing there is a $20 brief exam. These exams determine if your pet healthy enough to get heartworm and flea/tick medication. We will not treat or diagnose any other medical issues. If a medical problem is noted during the brief exam we will alert you to the issue and offer to book a doctor exam. These exams are required yearly to keep your flea/tick/heartworm medication prescription up to date.

  • An appointment is not necessary for these exams. You may walk in with your pet(s) during operation hours. Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri 9:00am to 11:45am and 2:30pm to 5:00pm, we close for lunch between 12:00 and 2:30.
  • During these appointments we can vaccine your pet including rabies. If you have vaccinations down elsewhere please bring the history with you so we provide continuity of care.
  • During these appointments we can test for heartworm, Felv, FIV and we can dispense flea/tick and heartorm medications.


Recheck Exams: $35. A veterinary recheck exam is a follow-up appointment with our veterinarian to assess your pet's progress after a previous visit or treatment. It allows our veterinarian to monitor recovery, evaluate ongoing symptoms, and adjust treatment plans if necessary. These exams are crucial for ensuring a pet's condition has been properly addressed and to prevent potential complications or recurrence of issues.
